I really really love this movie, like you maybe already know! This is another tribute to this inspiring movie!! Its my vision from her i hope you like it...
Wow! Is she a wolf princess or...tiger princess? Her mask looks like a tiger than a wolf. More interestingly, the color at her arm is so...fashionable (XD). And the tattoo too. It's just so weird to see San like this. Her eyes, the best thing that I've never seen before (). All I can say is, this pic is like a combination between San and...(pls don't mad at me!) Fujimoto. Her apperance is like Fujimoto, and her expression is just like San. Is that a tiger mask or ...Tatari Gami mask? Confuse! Well, u should go on doing these things. But not so much like this one! Looking forward to seeing more from u!
Overall, this is a wonderful piece! However, I noticed a few things: the ear is a little small and high on the face, and the mouth looks funny to me. Perhaps try painting from a model for pieces like this? With the pose we have to work with, I can see why this might be a little tough to make just right.
I also noticed that the jewels on the right arm gold band seem a little artificial, Disney-animation-ish. They seem to somehow defy the light. Maybe try to make them more sparkly, with more of a flourish. I don't know. I'm no expert...
That's all. Thanks for this beautiful number!
(I especially love the eyes. Drowning in jealousy over here.)
Stunning. I am new to your work. And have fallen right into it. I love your use of vibrant colour, for vibrant subjects. I think you strike just the right balance between a respect for accuracy, and the free flow of living art. I find with all your subjects an immediacy of appeal, that the characters live. In this case large and heroic. I am especially attracted to the idea of totems, of shape shifting, giving form to the soul. There is a confidence to your strokes, like in the wolfs fur, where there is just enough layering to give texture without getting hung up on it. And most of all I love her face. Your colouring, shape and shadow are simple perfection. I also get what you say though BadChibiArtist, about the ear and other little imperfections. Personally I think a work like this is more about vibrancy, life, immediacy. Nevertheless, you make good points. A big part of the appeal for me though, is the confidence that allows you to work quickly, without getting caught up. That is the life force, that I feel, and I think trumps the need for photo realism.
