Yes I was waiting for something from you and I was happy and excited to see this. As usual its beautiful stunning with the right amount of blood and wounds to not take away from the calmness of the piece. The fish hook earings with worms are very interesting i have never seen anything like it. (I think worms are awsome and I have fish hook earings myself ) The color of her eyes and lips are a very beautiful blue color and the reds make her face so much brighter. So as usual I look forward to more of your work ~Blue
Hey my sister!! I have to say, this is my fav picture by you so far! I cannot tell you how much I love the colors in this!! The idea with the little fishhook-earring is so unique and awesome!! And the hair accesories look so beautiful! I also really love the fish and how it glows and all the detail you put into it! The gills on the mermaid`s neck are also a nice touch and since there is blood coming out of them they could also be wounds, which makes it very interesting!! All in all this picture is just wonderful!

Talimee's critique is quite thought provoking. After reading it, I thought of Neil Shubin's book Your Inner Fish, subtitled: A journey into the 3.5-billion-year history of the human body. The fish, the gills and the fact that it feels partly in the water and partly out (the blood as Talimee noted) - evokes the water to land evolution. I don't think I would have connected all this without her thoughtful critique.
