Diva by PixieCold Diva by PixieCold
Lolita... she is the strong girl from without,
everybody admires her as she walks through the streets like a diva,
but if you are able to have a look behind that colorful veneer,
you will see, she's just a fractured timid girl...

Traditional drawing with watercolors and withe ink..
Really hope you like it :)

First of I want to say very good job. I really like looking at this.

I really like how to took a story and put it down on paper the way you have. The contrast of colors isn't overwhelming and are very well balanced from one side of the picture to the other. The eyes are just absolutely breathtaking and has to be my very favorite part of the painting because they do look sad and fragile and I just love how you conveyed an emotion in just that small detail. My only thing, and i apologize and it may just be me, is that it seems a little off balanced by the angle of the hat and gives the left side of the piece a bit more weight than the right. Other than that a very well job done here, keep doing what you do.

Very beautiful work as usual Pixie Cold. The vision is just startling, and I love how it is so vibrant and colorful. When I came on dA, the thing that got my attention was the headdress. It is just marvelous. The colors are so bright, and the way you've chosen to arrange them is spectacular. Though I do fear that you used maybe just a bit too much blue. Forgetting that little fact, I just wanted to say that you're work of art here is very creative, and I find that the colors replenish the look of this painting. Originality... Hmm. Well, I'm sorry to say, but I have seen art like this before. I guess you're style and way or portraying this woman is a bit different than most, but I still do feel that maybe adding a bit more twists and turns would have solved the originality problem here. But, any who, this is still very original, as far as I can see, to your standards (which is pretty high). Nice work. The technique you used shows much creativity, and much use of style and texture. I love the way that it's really dark on the bottom of the paint splats, and a little light on the top. The impact is also gorgeous. This painting got my attention first before anything else on the dA front page. Amazing! To conclude things, I hope that you continue you're magnificent style of art, and keep up the excellent work.
